Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT®: Left-Hand Navigation Is Here! (Global)

To enhance navigation, efficiency, and usability, the Raiser's Edge NXT menu has been moved to the left side of the screen for a more intuitive user experience.After years of careful planning, research, and user feedback, left-hand navigation is here! This update offers an intuitive experience, making it easier to access key features and streamline your workflow. By aligning with the future of Raiser's Edge NXT, it connects existing functionality, such as optimized forms, and supports our long-term vision while providing a familiar feel that closely resembles database view.



During our years of research, we put a lot of thought into the visualization of the new navigation and made some updates to the color scheme, but don't worry, all changes comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standards. Now that the updated navigation is available to all customers, we will actively monitor your feedback to ensure it continues to meet your needs.



This new left-hand navigation is designed to enhance efficiency and usability, offering several key benefits:

• Displays more items on your screen
• Aligns the placement of the Search functionality with database view
• Reduces the need to click “more” to access key features
• Includes a collapsible option to maximize workspace

Here's a quick guide to some of the changes:

• Constituents — Constituent lists is now available from Constituents, where you can also access Data health and Duplicate management.
• Gifts — Fundraising is now Gifts. You can access Gift management (now Gifts, Overview), Gift lists, Receipts, Acknowledgments, Giving statements, and Funds under Gifts. Tip: Gift batch entry is now accessible directly from Gifts in left navigation.
• Communications — Marketing is now Communications, where you can now access Email and Workflow designer.
• Online Giving — You can now access Online Giving to create Optimized Donation Forms and access your Standard Donation Forms. For more information, see Online Giving.
• Portfolio — Work Center is now available from Portfolio, where you can also access Prospect insights, Action lists, and Opportunity lists.
• Events — You can now view and manage events from Events, Overview.
• Analysis — Query, Fundraising dashboards, and Dashboard builder are now all accessed from Analysis.
• Settings — You can now find Control panel, System fields, and Tables under Settings.

The new navigation feels so much more natural. I'm not sure if it's because it's reminiscent of database view or my brain just prefers the visual. By already my team has expressed feeling more comfortable in NXT with this new layout!
