Remembering NetClassroom Passwords

As students head back to school, both students are parents are logging into NetClassroom to check their schedule and assignments for the upcoming year. After being distracted by a summer full of fun, they may not remember their NetClassroom password. If your school is receiving an influx of calls or emails regarding NetClassroom passwords, did you know there is a feature to allow students and parents to reset it themselves? This eases frustrations as they don’t have to wait for the school to reset it for them and it frees up staff to work on other things!


To take advantage of this feature, it first needs to be enabled in Registrar's Office under Configuration, NetClassroom, Features.




 


Once this is enabled, users will then see a "Forgot your password?" option which they can use to reset their password.  They will be required to answer three security questions, which they will be prompted to set up when they log in for the first time once this feature has been enabled.  If they are unsure of the answers they entered or if they need to edit them, they can access these questions at any time from the My settings menu in NetClassroom.
