Do You Want To Be Featured In A K–12 User Conference Session?

Here at Blackbaud we recognize that each and every private school is unique. And what makes the “ON” Products so great is that there are so many ways you can customize them to meet your school’s specific needs. But when you think about all the possibilities, you might get overwhelmed. What works for your school may not work for another, and a third school may have an idea you never even considered!
Collaboration and idea sharing is a key tenet of the upcoming K–12 User Conference, scheduled for July 12-14 in Boston, MA (have you registered yet?). We listened to your feedback from previous years and are offering outcome-based sessions that will improve your everyday efficiency in the software. But we need your help! After all, you are using the software each and every day.

Tell us:

• How and where are you posting content in the password-protected Blackbaud Community?
• Do your Resource Boards feature only static items, or have you decided to use them more fluidly?
• Do you put all content types into your Pushpages, or do you strategically draw readers into the Community for more details?
• What is your policy for posting private vs. public events?

One thing we've done this year with our weekly newsletter to parents is to limit the amount of detail in the pushpage itself and provide links to additional information including ticket sales, event registrations, divisional newsletters, etc.  This helps drive parents to the website.  For example, on our Parent Resource Board, we have a post for each of our 3 divisions.  From the pushpage, a link to each of the divisional newsletters is included and when they click the link, they're directed to the website, they log in and they click on their divisional newsletter. This has worked very well and helps get parents trained to go to the website for all their information.
