Create a Stage for Engagement

Here at Blackbaud University, we know how busy you are! And we’ve been working hard to provide you with shorter courses so you can absorb new information and apply it even faster.

On the education “stage,” schools provide opportunities to earn academic credit—but schools also offer opportunities to participate in activities, and then strive to foster a sense of belonging for all members. Who are the stars of your school’s show? Community groups, activities, advisories, and dorms.0d7a123f31444dfcaf961b683dfecf2d-huge-ch

First on your education stage are community groups. In our new 90-minute instructor-led course, K–12 Extracurricular: Community Groups, learn how to create custom groupings of constituents (e.g., Upper School parents, and Alumni Council and Book Club members). Additionally, learn how to provide these constituents an easy-to-use online space to post, organize, and communicate information.

Next on stage are activities, advisories, and dorms. In our revamped 90-minute instructor-led course, K–12 Extracurricular: Activities, Advisories, and Dorms, learn how to manage these groups for your school. Similar to the Community Groups course, you’ll learn to group constituents based on their associations with your school, assign members, and post content.
