Become A NetCommunity Hero

Kody Jackson

Growing up, I never much cared for that classic rock song Don’t Stop Believing. It’s not like I have something against small-town boys, wailing guitar solos, or even the rock band Journey … it’s just that I was a twin.

When you have an identical brother, everything gets split right down the middle. Sandwiches, rooms, and, yes, even classic 80s rock bands. He had Journey, so I got Foreigner. It was good to have something to claim as my own, even if it sometimes left me feeling as Cold As Ice.

It’s the same for another set of twins I know, Blackbaud NetCommunity’s new Fundamentals series courses:

• Blackbaud NetCommunity: Fundamentals—Email Communication

This course covers … well, everything email. You’ll dive into lists, templates, reports, acknowledgements, and everything else you need to effectively communicate with your constituents.
• Blackbaud NetCommunity: Fundamentals—Online Forms and Parts

This second course in the Fundamentals series deals with topics ranging from donation forms to directories. This course also touches on menus, profiles, memberships, and event registrations.

Though they each have their own space, these twins are better together. Taking both will help you increase online fundraising—and friendraising—as well as improve NetCommunity’s integration into your Raiser’s Edge database.

So embrace the Double Vision (get it?) and sign up for the NetCommunity Fundamentals series today! These classes are included as part of your Blackbaud University Learn More training subscription, or available a la carte from Blackbaud Training Central.

I've taken both of these courses and they were extremely helpful as an introduction to NetCommunity.  I highly recommend them!
