Blackbaud NetCommunity Now Supports Apple Pay!

Service Pack 5 released in March 2019 saw the Donation Form – Mini (Beta) renamed Donation 2.0. The Donation 2.0 part is a new Blackbaud NetCommunity donation form that provides a simplified checkout experience for campaign-based donations. The form has a modern, responsive HTML design that automatically adjusts to the device size, such as a smart phone or tablet, on which the page is being viewed. The form uses PCI-compliant Blackbaud Checkout SO customers can be assured that credit card and merchant account information is processed and stored on a Blackbaud-hosted secure server. For customers using Blackbaud Merchant Services (BBMS) as the payment processor, Blackbaud Checkout also supports Digital Wallets – Masterpass, Visa Checkout, and now Apple Pay!

Apple Pay is a secure checkout option for donors who access your website on a device that supports Apple Pay. Donors can use Touch ID or double-click an Apple Watch to provide their payment, shipping, and contact information to securely check out with just one touch. Offering this option provides your donors the simplicity of Apple Pay, while enabling your mission to leverage increased user adoption and conversion rates. Apple Pay currently supports US and Canadian Dollars and can be used for one-time gifts.

Clients will not have to take any steps to enable Apple Pay. All clients will have Apple Pay available as a payment method long as they have –

1. Blackbaud Merchant Services as your Payment processor
2. Blackbaud NetCommunity 7.1 Service Pack 5 or higher
3. A NetCommunity part that uses Blackbaud Checkout (currently Donation 2.0 part)
