Good afternoon!


Today I wanted to share a quick update with you about the latest developments in Blackbaud Grantmaking SKY View.

My name is Vin St. John, and I’ve been fortunate to work as a Product Manager on Blackbaud Grantmaking (and before that, GIFTS Online) for the past six years. The entire Blackbaud Grantmaking team is hard at work bringing more and more of the complete Blackbaud Grantmaking experience over to the new SKY View--while sumultaneously listening to your feedback for what changes you’re excited about, and what changes you’d still like to see us make.

We hope you’ll join us for the Blackbaud Grantmaking Product Update Briefing later this month, to hear more about our roadmap for continuously improving your grantmaking experience. In the meantime, here are just a few of the updates we’ve made to Blackbaud Grantmaking SKY View in the past two months...

  • Dashboards

    • Edit dashboards parts: Fixed an issue where editing the filters for a dashboard part would not show the previous filters. You no longer need to “start from scratch” when changing filters on dashboards.

  • Workspace (search, records, and actions)
    • Requests: For customers using the optional Outcomes feature, outcomes data is now available in its own section of the request record, on the left-hand side, below the “related records.” We've also improved the overall layout of the outcomes information page to make it easier to find everything.
    • Requirements: When creating requirements, we’ve made some small changes to the UI and text to make things clearer and easier to use.
    • Reviews: Manage and assign reviewers (i.e. on requests). (Available to customers using the optional Reviewers feature).
    • Records:
      • When viewing “related records” (I.e. the list of payments on a request), the actions for the parent record are now hidden (I.e. the options to generate letters for the request), and only the actions for the list of related records are shown. (Thank you for this idea from the community).
      • Fixed an issue that prevented editing some coding fields. Now, all classification fields can be edited from any record where they are included (not just the fields in the “coding sheet” section).
      • Fixed an issue that (sometimes) caused unexpected errors when saving changes to records.
      • Fixed an issue with date fields that would (sometimes) display date formatting incorrectly for users in Europe.

    • Blueprint: Custom fields: Create, edit, and delete custom fields for all of your record types.
