Today's update focuses on the Approval Wizard, which enables you to approve requests and create payments at the same time, and creating payment requirements...

This week we are going dive into approving a request in the detail page in Blackbaud Grantmaking SKY View. This information is also located in the Getting Started Guide which you can access via the link at the end of this post, on the "Onboarding and Adoption" page.

We will start off with approving a request on the detail page. This process can be done in batches, but seeing it on the detail page is the best way to learn which fields are automatically created and updated on a request once it is approved.

Approving a request in Blackbaud Grantmaking is done using a wizard.

You will notice that approving a request in Blackbaud Grantmaking SKY view has easy navigation and a clean-click path...

  1. From the "Request Detail" page, click on the "Approve" button in the middle of the page. If there are unsaved changes you will receive a prompt asking if you want to save the changes. Click "Yes" to have the system do this for you.
  2. The first page of the approval wizard will open. Any fields that are mandatory will be highlighted in a red outline. The other fields are optional.
  3. Click the "Next" button to get to page 2 of the wizard. This is where you will set the payment schedule.
  4. Once this is complete click "Approve."
  5. You will then be on the "Request Detail" page.

Adding in Payment Requirements:

  1. from the "Detail" page, navigate to "Related Payments" in the bottom left-hand corner
  2. click the link to open the "Payments" section.
  3. click "Select All"
  4. at the bottom of the page click "Create Requirements"
  5. Select which type of Requirement
  6. You have options regarding the Due Date
  7. Once you've completed, click "Save" and you will be returned to the Request Detail page
  8. You will see the Requirements on the related section in the bottom left-hand corner of the Request page.
