Reimagined Gift Aid Claims: Submit Directly to HMRC in Raiser’s Edge NXT (United Kingdom)

Gift Aid is a powerful way for organisations in the United Kingdom to amplify the impact of each eligible donation by reclaiming 25% from His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC). We know how vital your work is and how much effort goes into optimising every donation to strengthen your mission. That’s why we’re excited to share that all Gift Aid claims are exclusively available in web view, a more efficient and user-friendly experience. 

What’s New with Gift Aid in Web View. 

With enhanced functionality, you can now:  

  • Create Gift Aid claims that are automatically validated against HMRC rules, including valid postcodes, addresses, names, and complete declarations.

  • Use address hierarchy to ensure the correct address is chosen.  
  • Review included gifts, validate constituents and declarations and filter by constituent name or claim total for quicker access.  
  • Retain claim documentation for at least seven years, even when gifts are adjusted or deleted. 
  • Remove individual gifts or constituents from active claims. 
  • Conclude claims confidently by marking them as finalised upon acknowledgement from HMRC.  

Gift Aid Claims in Database View 

Visibility: Gift Aid claims generated in database view will still appear in web view, with critical information like creation date, claim totals, donation quantities, submission date, and submitting user.  

New Claims: While database view no longer allows generating new Gift Aid claims, existing claims can still be processed if an R68 report has already been created. To protect sensitive data, web view does not produce R68 reports to prevent redundancy.

Audit Reports: Each Gift Aid in web view is assigned a claim reference number, making it easy to query and export for reporting.
