No New Changes for Education API

I receive the weekly email that shares recent updates or new releases every Tuesday. There is a link to the School API and OneRoster API but I haven't seen any changes since August. Is that the case or did I miss a place to sign up for these releases?

Hi. This dry spell is mostly correct.

The team is working on the API Platform, but in a couple of ways that don't always get included in the Changelog. One, they have made some corrections and changes to endpoints in the not-quite-released Education Core API. And two, the team is working on completely new functionality for our partners and clients.

Some of the changes to existing endpoints include

• The User create/update endpoints now allow a profile photo attachment to be included. This requires the Attachment (Upload) endpoint from the Education Core API. Previously, the Test score create and Test (Create) endpoints were updated to allow attachment uploads
• The User (Search) endpoint now takes in list of usernames (aka BBIDs) and returns matching users.
• The User BBID (Disconnect) was added to match the previously added User BBID (Connect).

Some of the coming soon items include

• New list endpoints - to deliver a lists entire output as a file, in CSV or JSON format. Advanced lists are the first release, but we plan to follow soon after with SKY lists, like the students, users or candidates lists.
• Webhooks - This is a trigger you can subscribe to that will let you know an event has happened, that you can then use to get updated data. This already exists for RE and FE, and we are bringing it to Educations.
• SKY Add-ins - This allows you to show outside data within the product. Also a feature that RE and FE have that we are bringing to Education. The first location we are delivering is tabs for additional communication logs from partners, like BrightArrow or Ruvna.
