Breaking change planned for Payments API

To support tokenization of AUD bank accounts, we will update the POST Direct debit account token endpoint. This enhancement enables AUD tokens to be used in direct debit transaction requests.  

We will add the following new fields, which are conditionally required based on currency: 

• To the DirectDebitAccountTokenAdd class: 
  • payment_configuration_id 
• To the DirectDebitAccountInfo class: 
  • account_holder 
  • direct_debit_type 
  • account_email 
  • us_bank_account 
  • au_becs_debit 
• To the DirectDebitAccountTokenRead class: 
  • mandate_id 
  • mandate_url 

If you are currently tokenizing USD bank accounts, you will see no immediate impact. However, in the next six months, you will be required to use the new us_bank_account type, as the following fields will be deprecated: 

• check_number 
• account_number 
• routing_number 
• account_type
