What Is the Executive Impact Report? 

We designed this data‑rich snapshot of your fundraising activity and Raiser’s Edge NXT usage to offer fresh insights to make your decision‑making easier and your strategy even stronger.

The report includes three sections—Performance Outcomes, Usage Scorecard, and Usage Trends — designed to help you: 

  • Spot Key Performance Indicators: Track trends in donor behavior and fundraising activity. 
  • Benchmark Your Success: See how your usage compares to similar organizations, giving you valuable context for setting strategic goals.  
  • Engage Your Team: Discover engagement and usage metrics that highlight where small changes could unlock even greater impact. 
  • Analyze Trends: Anticipate future opportunities and make data-driven decisions.

Think of it as a starting point for meaningful conversations with your team and with our Customer Success experts. The report is designed to spark ideas, surface strengths, and highlight areas where you may want to focus next. FAQs 

  • How do I request a copy of the report? 
    The report will be provided to your executive sponsor as a safe attachment. If you’d like to personally request a copy, please reach out to customersuccess@blackbaud .com.  
  • How frequently will the Executive Impact Report be delivered? 
    This report will be released twice a year.  
  • How far back do the trendlines go? Can I compare year‑over‑year? 
    The outcomes data is aggregated on an annual basis and contains three years of trended data in the graphs to show year-over-year comparisons. 
  • How do you choose the peer groups for benchmarking? 
    Usage benchmark scoring is derived by comparing your usage of key metrics over the past 12 weeks against average usage of the same period across peers of similar annual revenue within the same Vertical. 
  • How is the Raiser’s Edge NXT usage score calculated? 
    Your score reflects how your usage compares to the average usage of similar customers over the same time period. Based on where your usage falls relative to that median benchmark, you’re placed into one of four quartile groups that indicate how your usage stacks up against your peers. 
  • Does higher usage directly correlate with better fundraising outcomes?
    In general, it does. Internal benchmarking shows a strong correlation between usage of Raiser’s Edge NXT and increased fundraising results. This will differ based on vertical trends, specific customer situations, etc.   
  • What specific actions can I take if I notice a decline in donor retention or acquisition?
    An excellent starting point would be to use the Prospect Insights capability to ensure that you are surfacing the highest-potential donors for your team to engage directly. Check out the Ultimate Fundraising Hub for more resources to help you increase your donor retention and acquisition.    
  • Are there recommended best practices based on strong performers?
    We’re currently developing new recommendations that will compare your organization’s unique usage patterns with those of our most successful customers. This will allow us to deliver customized, personalized guidance to help you get even more value from Raiser’s Edge NXT. Stay tuned—more details on this capability are coming soon. 
  • Will there be future enhancements or added sections? 
    This is the first version of the Executive Impact Report; we welcome your feedback on additional benchmarks or usage data that would be beneficial to you.

  • Please can this go to the database admin / person in charge of the database, rather than the 'executive sponsor' - often they may lack understanding of what the report actually means in practice if they are not regular users, which causes a lot of confusion!
