As we continue moving toward a fully modernized Raiser’s Edge NXT experience, many customers have asked what the retirement of database view will mean for their existing backup processes. Today, we want to provide clarity and reassurance.

Backups will remain supported even after database view is fully retired.

This means organizations can continue relying on Bulk Data Delivery and On-Demand backups—even as we transition features and workflows into the unified view. Your ability to safeguard and access your data remains a critical priority for us, and this commitment does not change with the evolution of Raiser’s Edge NXT.

Looking Ahead: Evolving Backup Strategies

While backup support will remain in place, the way organizations use and interact with backups will naturally evolve as the platform modernizes. Over time, we expect customers to shift toward more flexible, API-driven, cloud-aligned approaches that better support data portability, warehousing, and disaster recovery in a modern environment. To support you in this transition, we will provide additional guidance at future Product Update Briefings. These sessions will offer deeper insight into best practice modernization paths, new tools like the Export API, and recommendations tailored to varied organizational needs.

Our Commitment

Your data is one of your most valuable assets. Whether you're preparing advanced analytics, integrating with business systems, or ensuring peace of mind, we are committed to supporting your backup needs through the retirement of database view and beyond.

Stay tuned for more details at upcoming Product Update Briefings and thank you for continuing to partner with us as we build a more modern, secure, and powerful Raiser’s Edge NXT experience.
