Running Multiple Reports at Once

In the database view, you used to be able to add reports to a queue and run them all at once and they would download into a folder you specified. Is there any way you can do that in the web view? This was so convenient since we have 30+ reports we run/download at the end of the month.

Not in a queue, but you could set a schedule on your 30 reports. Say I want it Monthly, the date of the month to run and it will email the reports. Also now with the recently generated tab, if you look there , any report run, scheduled or manually should show there for 3 days after it's run.

  • Yes and no. Since they improved how reports are "generated", you can generate all 30 reports at the same time, but no one in your organization will be able to run anything else until they slowly process through. Some will time-out and cancel themselves. If your entire organization runs more than one or two reports at once, it will slow everything down. Some days large reports will take 10-20 minutes as normal. Other days, tiny reports which normally take 10 seconds will take 3 hours. This is a real life example with no exaggeration. The other person who responded to this suggested scheduling reports if possible. I recommend that and scheduling it for the middle of the night if possible. You may want to stagger the times that they start because of the issue mentioned above.

    Blackbaud is threating continuous improvements.
