What’s New

We’re excited to share several powerful enhancements now available in Financial Edge NXT web view. These updates are designed to streamline workflows, reduce friction, and give you greater visibility into your financial operations.

  • Assess chart health with confidence — Discover Chart Health Advisor to evaluate chart health, identify structural issues, and take guided action to improve reporting accuracy and reduce long‑term maintenance risk.
  • Streamline period close — Generate general ledger reports from Closing assistant. Select up to five reports and run them in one step to review balances and activity before closing fiscal periods.
  • [AUS ONLY] Consistent GST imports with Australian date formats — Australian date formats aligns imported data with local standards, helping reduce errors, minimize manual adjustments, and streamline import processing.
  • Approve purchase orders — Approve or reject purchase request line items or full requests.
  • Receivables
    • Process partial returns for clients – No need to reverse an entire invoice. From the invoice record, select Reverse partial to return only the applicable items or amounts.
    • Monitor account‑level budgets at a glance —  With the new Account budget vs actual tile on Home, view real‑time budget and spending, compare actuals and encumbrances, and quickly identify variances without running reports.
    • View all invoice line items in one place — The new Line items tab lets you sort, filter, and review details quickly, even for invoices with many items.

The following features are in EAP for some customers.

  • Chat for Blackbaud AI
  • Payables - generate new invoices from a draft
  • Automated deposits - only for gifts disbursed through Blackbaud Merchant Services (now part of Blackbaud Integrated Payments)

The following features are in LA for some customers.

  • Faster invoice and receipt processing in Expense Management — Upload invoices and receipts, and let AI-powered Document Intelligence capture key details to automatically generate invoice requests or credit card charge details.
