Has anyone else noticed the ability to sort information within a column on the pending (submissions) tab is no longer there? The functionality was there in the fall of 2025 as we were testing. A case was submitted; I was told that functionality was removed at some point and the reason why was not noted. This sort functionality was crucial to our workflow because the column options to show various fields/information on this tab are so limited. Request date is crucial to our workflow; that field is not included in the column options. Without the request date as a column option, we adjusted the application, instructing the applicant to add the request date (for us, that's the event date) as the first information in the project title field. Why? Because we could then sort the pending applications by the project title field. As we activated the applications, surprise, no sort functionality. Then we looked to the search field to help; not the best option, but we needed a way to group together all applications by request date. Sadly, after one application is considered from that search group, the search group doesn't remain; the search has to be done again. If anyone recalls from the legacy portal, a search could be conducted and the results of that search held as applications were considered. Back to the application and instructing the applicant enter the request/event date first in the project title field…we now ask the applicant to enter that same date three times in the application. Again, not ideal, but what other choice do we have. What we feel are critical limitations related to viewing and sorting pending submissions is a detriment to our workflow, a workflow that handles 500-700 applications a month (we not only use this product for grantmaking, we also use it for in-kind donation requests).
