Update to Opportunity API

To help you report on and segment opportunities using the same lifecycle framework shown in Raiser's Edge NXT, the following field is now available on the GetOpportunity endpoint:

• lifecycle_stage — The opportunity's current lifecycle stage, derived from the administrator-configured mapping between opportunity status and lifecycle stage. This field is read-only and returns one of the following values: Identification, Qualification, Cultivation, Solicitation, Negotiation, Stewardship, or Completed. Returns null if the opportunity's status isn't mapped to a lifecycle stage.

This looks like a useful addition for nonprofits managing large numbers of fundraising opportunities. Having lifecycle_stage directly available through the API should make it easier to segment opportunities and build more targeted reports without recreating the mapping logic externally. I especially like that it follows the administrator-configured stages, which should keep API data aligned with the organization’s existing fundraising workflow.
