Credit card feeds not working

Our Bank of America credit card feeds stopped refreshing more than a month ago. We have been trying to get this resolved with Blackbaud, who says they are escalating the issue to Yodlee, but Blackbaud and Yodlee seem unable to resolve it so far. We've tried unlinking and relinking each account, etc. Blackbaud is saying other clients are currently experiencing this issue. Has anyone else been able to troubleshoot issues with credit card feeds not refreshing? Would appreciate any tips or experiences others have had. Thanks!

We do not use Bank of America, but we have had similar issues in the past. It happens whenever the credit card makes updates to the website, or so it seems. One time, the feed wasn't working for 4 months. I feel your pain, as the credit card feed is one of our favourite things about NXT. Usually, when we have an issue, it takes a week or two to get resolved.

In the meantime, we would submit the credit card expenses through Invoice requests. We told users to put CC in front of the description so accounting saw transaction they would confirm it was on the credit card statement, update the payment method to paid by credit card, and select the person's name in the list. It is a lot of extra work, but that is what we did to get expenses recorded when the feed was down for an extended time.

Note: once the feed was working again, accounting had to go in and ignore all the transactions that were already completed. Manual credit card reconciliations are so important with the credit card feed. I wish with all my heart that they would do an automated reconciliation, similar to bank accounts, for the credit card account. Maybe someday that wish will come true.

Good luck. We worked on this with our Regions credit cards and after 6 months of back and forth they basically said "sorry, there's nothing we can do" and closed the case. It seems Yodlee cannot work with Cash Management/Treasury systems and can only work through open banking platforms.

We are having issues, i put a ticket in april, and it is still not taken care of.

We are now in Week 9 of our credit card feeds not being refreshed and to date we have zero resolution or insight as to what is being done to fix this core piece of functionality (that we are paying for). For those who are experiencing similar issues, are you getting any meaningful updates as to what the problem is? (besides Blackbaud saying it's a Yodlee issue)

Blackbaud customer service can only inform us every day that they're "waiting to hear back from the engineering team" …. 9 weeks later. It is incredible that Blackbaud is OK with core functionality of their product being unusable and unable to to make any progress at all. If Yodlee is an unreliable or sub-par product then they should find another solution.

They frequently don't work because of Yodlee and Blackbaud utilizing screen scraping. Blackbaud publicly announced in April 2022 that it was transitioning Financial Edge NXT bank and credit card feeds away from screen scraping and toward API-based data exchange and Open Banking. In October 2024 BB stated it implemented changes supporting Open Banking and API connections. Yet Blackbaud's own documentation still acknowledges that screen scraping is used. Blackbaud recognized the limitations of screen scraping more than four years ago, announced a transition. The banking industry has identified significant security concerns with screen scraping, particularly involving the sharing and retention of banking credentials, broad access to sensitive financial data, and limitations on controlling third-party access. I'm not sure why they have not moved away from this practice.
