Hi everyone,
Learning more about using SKY API and while messing around calling values from the SKY Developer Test database, I found some constituents with opportunities and added my own opportunities to a constituent.
The thing is, via the SKY API you can call upon the values 'original ask'[original_ask_amount] and 'original ask date'[original_ask_date] which I assume would auto-populate with the very first values that an opportunity ever gets.
When I called for those values, I can see everything else in an opportunity via the API, except those two fields, the values are always absent. Are those values naturally supposed to be blank, and the assumption is that we are supposed to 'WRITE' into that value so that the value is stored in the backend of a RE NXT environment?
The RE NXT web view opportunity edit dialog exposes Ask amount and Ask date but no field for original ask. If the RE NXT never writes it, and the field is API-only, it would explain why the values are blank for all the test records I used.
BTW I want to shoutout that the SKY API is such a powerful tool, really great documentation too - kudos to the team that created it.
Tl;dr: Are [original_ask_amount] and [original_ask_date] API-write-only? In SKY API they come from OpportunityRead, OpportunityEdit, and OpportunityAdd
Edit: It is possible that this value only exists for migrations from other DBs, hence why would be empty if not migrating data.
