Change in "Academics graded assignments for student"?

I have been using the "Academics graded assignments for student" endpoint to pull all graded assignments, filter for those marked zero or missing or both, and then push a list of any student with two or more of these to a spreadsheet for our academic support team. It's a tedious way to do it, but it works, and I can't find another way to target assignments marked missing but not graded as zero. But now… It's suddenly stopped working for me, and I see that the roles needed are Student or Parent. Which doesn't make much sense to me. Am I missing some change or some better way to do this?

We recently fixed a bug in this endpoint. That likely also closed whatever gap in role/permissions allowing non-student/parents to call the endpoint. It should only deliver results the calling user is allowed to see. I apologize for the inconvenience, but the security fix was necessary.

We are instead creating a dedicated endpoint for admin to use to pull this data. It will allow a massive data dump of student assignment grades across all student, all assignments, and all classes. It will be paginated and provide a last changed filter. It has passed the initial review and is currently with the dev team, so should be ready soon.

I will post here (and in the Changelog) when it's ready.

@Kamala Qalandar I think this is designed to be run "as the student or parent" which is why it is set up that way. Did you have the "parent" role before this moment? I know that @Stephen Boyle can speak more to the intent of the API, but I think it is less of an endpoint for an admin to pull all the grades and more for integrations that connect to Blackbaud on behalf of the student.

Thanks @Nick Marchese! I actually do also have the parent role, which makes this even more confusing. I see that this wasn't really the intent of the API, but I also haven't found another way to pull a record of assignments marked missing — only marked incomplete. Does anyone have a good suggestion for this?

It's a workaround that's worked before, but I could accept that it won't work any longer. I'm just not sure why it doesn't work anymore, and that's hard on my heart and soul.

Thanks @Stephen Boyle! I don't like it, but I do at least understand it — I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I will eagerly await the new endpoint!
