User Group Schedule And API Updates: Erik announced upcoming Power Platform training opportunities, new Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge query connector capabilities, and the remaining 2026 user-group dates. Next meeting is October 14. There will be no November meeting because of the Veterans Day holiday, and the final meeting of the year is scheduled for December 9.
Training Opportunities: Erik announced that the Washington, DC regional workshop was sold out, leaving a bbcon pre-conference session in Columbus and London on November 2 as remaining in-person opportunities.
API Enhancements: Erik highlighted a new lifecycle-stage field in the Opportunity API and improved Payments API information.
Query Connectors: The RENXT and FENXT query connectors now support deleting and canceling queries, a result-layout parameter for single-row queries, ask fields, Excel output, time-zone offsets, code-table descriptions, additional query metadata, and pagination limits, offsets, and counts. Erik noted that connector definitions on Microsoft's documentation site might not yet show the new actions even though they are available in the connector.
Microsoft Fabric Warehouse Implementation: David, Michael, and Alison described how SDSU Alumni & Foundation moved from Excel and Power BI-centered reporting to a Microsoft Fabric lakehouse, with BWF Zuri supporting discovery, system selection, and implementation.
Sankey Visualization Exploration: Rebecca asked whether the group had experience with Sankey visuals for tracing student coursework and engagement paths, and participants discussed data preparation, end-user interpretation, and alternative tools.
