Seeking Remote Part-Time Raiser's Edge NXT DBA or BBCRM SDK Developer Roles
I have 9 years working within Higher Education, with 7 years working under the fundraising department. I’ve had the opportunity to migrate from RE7 to RE NXT and RE NXT to BBCRM. I have also been in Associate Director/Director roles helping to not only provide strategy towards data management & reporting concepts, but also helping to build queries and processes to better accommodate any organization I was apart of. Some of the work I’ve performed includes, but is not limited to:
- Cleaning up dirty data within Databases
- Building out queries and dashboards (Out of the box Queries and SQL)
- Integrating files/systems
- Mass Imports/Exports
- Creating documentation
- Building out XML customizations within SDK
- Configuring systems to ensure efficient use of software
I am seeking any Remote Part-Time Contract roles that will allow for flexible hours. I would love to utilize my skills to help your organization with any short-term data needs! If you have any inquiries for me, please email me here. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Online Giving required fields
Hi, it doesn't seem like fields like address can be made to be required for Online Giving donation forms. Did I miss something? Phone number and address should be required so we have that info on new donors! ?
Re: Importing large amount of data as data list for Record Operations Task
Hi @Sue Jang
You create an orchestration using the ‘Execute record operation’ task. You can create this in the Prevalidation, Preprocessing or Postprocessing sections, it just depends on when you want to run it (and whether you want to know how long it takes to run, as the first and last options don't appear to count in the staging/processing time)
On the form that opens, give the task a name and then select the inbuilt record operation. In my case I used ‘Constituent Appeal: Delete’.
Then select the ‘Staging Table’ that contains the fields you're importing. It is probably easiest to import in to the constituent table and use the Placeholder fields for the GUID of the record you want to process (i.e. delete). Finally, select the field holding the GUID in the final field on this form.
There's also the ability to use conditions when running this task, but I've not had a reason to use it yet as I selected the records to delete separately. It may be of use to you though. Just test it in Staging as there's no ‘Undo’ here!
I love this new feature BV have given us, it gives us a virtually universal ‘Global Delete’. ![]()
Re: Email History Tile - Emails Disappeared
@Tove Elander We don't track sent emails in RE NXT, but it's concerning that you do and never got promised follow-up after you advised support of the issue months ago. It's also concerning to me that they apparently took away Email History without warning, I hope you and Rebecca get some information on this problem soon as it makes me wonder what else is going missing in the systems that I just haven't noticed yet!
Re: Easily viewing student (child) class year from the parent record in RE-NXT web view?
@Carlene Johnson I just posted a view of the parent's record showing her children with their class year.
Re: Minimum Amount in Optimized Form
@Samantha McGuin I plan to start using Optimized Forms this summer and agree with the need to be able to set a minimum donation amount. With credit card fees and staff time for processing, a $1 gift is a net loss.
Re: Email History Tile - Emails Disappeared
@Rebecca Tuszynski yes, I noticed this in April and I contacted support who said they were looking into it, and would get back to me (they haven't). I am also a bit annoyed about it as we are in the process of cleaning up our email lists by checking unopened and bounced emails. Your post has prompted me to get back in touch with support!
Re: Receipts did not print for all gifts due to (erroneous) inactive status on constituent
@Carol Leitz Yes, that is how to create a business rule. They have not brought them over to web view yet but lots of requests for it.
Re: Easily viewing student (child) class year from the parent record in RE-NXT web view?
Settings → Control Panel → Constituent Records → Individual display name.

Maybe open a case to see if you can get this tile or it could be a security level issue, in which see your admin.
Re: Anyone using interest group opt-in/opt-out data to generate respective solicit codes in RE?
@Zef Ferreira
At Fred Hutch we are using interest groups to update consents in RENXT. I created a custom sync application that pulls the information from LO using SOAP API https://developer.blackbaud.com/lo-api/web-services/types/constituent
into an on-site data warehouse and then updates the record in RENXT using Communication Preference SKI API
https://developer.sky.blackbaud.com/api#api=communication-preference&operation=ListConsentCategories
We are linking records using LO ConsID as an alias in RENXT.
Happy to connect to share more details.
