Re: PowerUp Challenge: First Email Marketing Task
I'll second what I'm hearing from others, the default colour set up. But really, I just like that it's all contained in one area, so you can go in, do it all, and it's done!
Re: Hackathon Project Help
Excited to see this @Kristina Pollard & hoping some of our awesome developer community members will join your project!
Re: Membership Retention Report
@Laurie Haaland
Hi! I used that same canned report and just stair-stepped each fiscal year, for us 7/1-6/30. It has enough of the details visible that you could pull it into Excel and manipulate it for several years.
Re: Total Annual Visitors
@Anna Blanton Hi Anna - I use a combination of a query and the sales comparison report (for group sales). We used to be able to get most of the information from the sales comparison report, but when we started selling tickets online - they show up on the report as the day they were purchased, not the day they were used plus not everyone shows up who has tickets so the query is for tickets scanned during the particular time period. I calculate attendance every month for our dashboard and then we keep track of cumulative attendance so we know our counts for each month, ytd, each year, and cumulative since we have been open.
Each month, I run the query, and the sales comparison report, and then I check for any events that occurred that will also have to be added. This is the query that I use - I download to a spreadsheet and then pivot table and filter for what I need.

Re: ability to customize total revenue report by payment method
@Theresa Diesch I export the data and then sort with a pivot table to get the exact results that I need. - Tamara
Re: Everyone has that one tool they can't live without - what's yours?
Thanks for the thumbs up @Dariel Dixon and others for SmartPASTE. Just a quick note to say we are trialling a new version for NXT, which you can access, again free, in your web browser via the Chrome Web Store (should also work with Edge, Opera and other browsers):
New Consent Tile
Hi all
Has anyone else found the new Consent Tile a bit of a nightmare? We used categories for the different preferences e.g. Appeals, Events and Newsletters and we didnt have a top level Opt-in for the Channel. So when we opted someone into "Email" they got 3 consent records for each category. However now when we look at the record in NXT it displays the 3 categories but above it says "No overall channel consent found". So we need to now clean this all up. Anyone else having fun with this?
Re: "Spouse Assignment" in Profile Information block?
An adaptive card/custom tile like this would be very straight forward to do, if you went that route. Created this one in less than hour. It loads for any constituent record that is opened in Web View, information only appears if the constituent qualifies. The less calculations you have running in the flow, the faster the card appears on the record.
Re: "Spouse Assignment" in Profile Information block?
@Kevin Fletcher I suspect there are a plethora of ideas for business rules in WV. In the meantime, @Carlene Johnson is correct. You can't add the information where you would like but you could create a custom tile with that information. You would just need to train those who want to see the information to move the tile to the top of their view.
Re: What is your favorite part of your job?
Creating workflows with staff and seeing their long-term payoff. Also, the puzzle-solving element is cool, too. Very satisfying when you have the "a-ha!" moment.
