Re: PowerUp Challenge: Third Email Marketing Task
Sorry I'm on a tiny screen (well my laptop - could be smaller on my phone.) I did three pictures because of that I just love some of these images :) I
love the addition of this is a test email and the notice of when the links will expire. That always freaked people out when we were testing with frontline fundraisers and leadership.
We still do not personalize in web view emails as we don't like the options. We are inclusive although we only have one record for parent/grandparent couples so first name and preferred name don't work for us. We need to be able to use addressee/salutation as they were designed and to allow for one and if that doesn't exist a second option. Here is an idea for the idea bank for this.
etc. . . .
Re: Everyone has that one tool they can't live without - what's yours?
Power Automate. Can build pretty much anything I can dream up.

IOM and Power Automate (which basically means you can add anything you want that can be coded)

A super big plug for SmartDonorCover and SmartPaste. The good people at @SmartTHING Developers have really developed tools to work around some limitations that exist. I also think Importacular and some of the Omatic Tools are great.
But the best tools are custom made. Custom tiles via SKY, or Power BI dashboards on the homescreen. They take time and skill, but are worth it.
Re: What's your favorite Robert Hernandez memory?
@Dariel Dixon Ha! I hadn't considered that his presence has probably dwindled since my early days of training. It was a great starter record. I wish I could remember the names of some of the instructors from the trainings I took 10+ years ago. They were really good!
Re: 1st Time Donors
This is probably due to soft credits. Can you share your query criteria with us? We'll also need to see your soft credit settings in the query.
This may also have to do with the fact that if you just started making spouses they probably haven't been soft credited for all the previous gifts from the spouse. Here is a knowledgebase solution which will help you best understand that.
Re: Faculty Member Not Teaching This Term Can't View Past Classes
I think that anyone who is not assigned to teach current classes will not see the Classes menu. I don't think that's a change.
The Find more link in the Classes menu and the Groups menu lead to the same page. One option would be to add the person to an Activity group or Community group. That will give them the Groups menu and the Find more link.
Another option is for you to go to the classes that the teacher wants to see and copy the URL of the Bulletin board page. Just give the teacher the URLs.
Requirements
With all the recent testing I've been doing for Requirements, I'm now having a hard time figuring out if I published a Requirement into the Legacy portal versus the new portal. Does anyone have a solution for this?
Re: Donation Forms - Raffles
This is one article from the KB
How do I create a new event in The Raiser’s Edge
It will also show as last gift. Because of this we do not use RE webview for events. We use the last gift info for ask amounts in many appeals. Was told be support we could use filter to use different funds but that doesn't always work when event fund is one that also one that gets donations. And too much work to add that filtering along with all the others.
