Re: bbcon 2025 - Is the investment worthwhile?
I can't recommend bbcon highly enough! My career would not be where it is today without it. The connections I've made with other users, consultants, vendors, and BB product developers has made such a difference to me. Some of my best friends and colleagues are connections from bbcon. I talk literally every day to at least one of my connections from bbcon. We talk about everything: product questions and functionality, navigating our careers, troubleshooting data issues, work/life balance, professional and personal accomplishments. I couldn't do my job without having access to their support!
If you are looking to learn tangible skills within specific products like RE-NXT, the university day is totally worth it!
Blackbaud has ribbons/flags to attach to one's badges. They should have one that indicates one is looking to have someone else initiate the conversation!
Re: Minimum Amount in Optimized Form
@Samantha McGuin
From an applications perspective, I am aiming to align our systems with those commonly used by other non-profit organizations across Canada. In reviewing standard practices, I’ve observed that many peer organizations have optimized their giving forms to include key features that are currently missing in Blackbaud RENXT (optimized forms). These include:
- The ability to set a bare minimum donation amount
- An option to donate on behalf of an organization – very important to have this feature!
- An option to donate anonymously
These features are typically available in standard giving forms and, ideally, should also be accessible within optimized forms. This would allow internal users to enable them as needed in accordance with our organizational policies.
Embedding an Admissions Event form directly
I am embedding an admissions event form, but I'd really like to be able to skip the page where it has the button as that's just another step a person has to take to get to the form. Is there a way to edit the embed code so the start of the form shows right away?
Re: Global changes on RE NXT
@Jeannette Longworth
you will need to use RE dbview and export all the email with its import id (email/phone import id helps you identify specific email/phone record to make change to). then use the Admin > Import function to update them all.
Re: Global changes on RE NXT
@Jeannette Longworth Welcome to the community! You may also want to take a look at your table of Email types and clean those up, to help folks with their entry going forward.

@Jeannette Longworth
Blackbaud does have classes that teach db admin task like global change and import. you will have to search in Blackbaud Campus (or University, whatever BB call it now)

Honoring Juneteenth: Reflecting and Learning Together
Communities across the US are commemorating Juneteenth (June 19th)—the historic day in 1865 when the last enslaved individuals and families were granted freedom.
At Blackbaud, our employees are dedicating time to honor this pivotal moment in US history by participating in several engaging activities, including exploring rodeo culture in the African American community, hearing from black-owned bookstore owners about the positive contributions they’re making in their communities, volunteering, and more.
Our employees across the US are proud to recognize Juneteenth as a holiday. When we reflect on the past and make space to celebrate progress, we not only welcome more opportunities to foster mutual respect for our colleagues and customers, but we cultivate a workplace where inclusion and belonging continue to be woven into the fabric of our company culture.
Happy Juneteenth!
Re: Global changes on RE NXT
@Aldera Chisholm Hi Aldera. Yes, I am on that and also on cleaning up the address and phone options. Individual voice as an option did make me laugh. ?
Re: Acknowledgement Letters - 3rd Party
@Kim Russell This has been a challenge for a lot of people. I would definitely check out this post from around the time of the initial removal of Microsoft Office integration. It includes several options such as the nesting if/then statements that @Samantha Foster was mentioning.
