Re: Accounts Payable "improvements"
@Heather Craig
I noticed that just yesterday. We have a folder system set up in our main printer/copier. All documents go through this folder for each worker so we don't overlap jobs. I couldn't imaging printing without this as you have to load the checks. For EFT's I noticed we were missing the usual step to approve PLUS the notepad file with the banking information we send in to our bank to process the EFT's. I am looking for help with this.
Re: Clarification on Which Gift API to Use in SKY API
@Pradyut Joshi
depends on what kind of constituent data you want, check out the API reference

Power Automate actions using Blackbaud API connector
Help please! New-ish Data analyst who's very new to using Power Automate!
I work for an organisation that uses Raiser's Edge database and Raiser's Edge NXT to store data about all our individual supporters who we call constituents.
? What I’m Trying to Achieve
I want to automate a process that identifies constituents in Raiser's Edge NXT involved in our “Memory Tree” initiative and takes action based on their engagement and contact status.
? Flow Logic and Required Actions
- Manually trigger the flow (Instant cloud flow).
- Retrieve multiple constituents who either:
- Have a constituent code = “Memory Tree”, or
- Have a custom field with the value “Memory Tree”
❗ I need to know how to do this using the connector — there is no “List constituents” action, and “Search for a constituent” only returns one result. I need to retrieve multiple matching constituents so I can loop through them.
- For each matching constituent, I need to:
- Retrieve their actions using the connector.
- Check if any action:
- Has type = “Mailing - FR”
- AND the subject starts with “Memory Tree”
- If such an action exists, I then need to:
- Check if the constituent has:
- A valid email address, or
- A consent status such as “Opted In”
- Check if the constituent has:
- If either condition is true, I want to:
- Send an email (e.g., to notify a team member, log the case, or trigger a follow-up)

Please can you tell me the actions in Power automate - Blackbaud connector that will achieve this?

@Daniel Maxwell
Thank you! I'll get this broken link fixed.
Email Marketing for Hard and Soft Bounce
hi, to my understanding that the only way to view hard and soft bounce from Email Marketing and create a constituent list. But there is no column to specify hard and soft bounce. This is time consuming to go through each record depending on how many there are and click on the Email History Tile.
For those that are hard bounce, am trying to delete those from the constituent record in NXT or database view as it is not needed. As for the soft bounce, we will keep it so it can keep trying to send it, after a month it will be deleted from the constituent record.
Am very surprised that there is no query to pull that list and hoping BB will come up with something that is very useful and straightforward. Another option in Email Marketing, when click on bounces, a flyout appears, how about adding the column stating bounce type such as hard or soft and when a constituent list is created, it appears there which would make things much simply to work with. Same applies to recipients, opens and clicks as well.

Re: New Spouse Record - Best Practice
@Courtney Buzzell Welcome to the BB Community forums.
Actually it can vary for us.
New spouse record and they just got married, we would do future gifts.
If it's a new ‘spouse record’ because per our procedures the spouse needs their own record and they have been married for a length of time, we would SC past giving as well.
Re: Alumi Logging In: Converting Email Addresses from School to Personal
@Jennifer Miller
We are a google school, so our students login using their school email account.
We inactivate their school gmail accounts in Dec, allowing them time to gather any google docs they may still want after graduation. We do not use the Alumni “portal”. Our alumni engagement committee uses other means to communicate.
Get Ready for an Enhanced Checkout Experience
These updates are designed to enhance the giving experience for your donors while making things easier for your team.
What’s Changing?
Here’s what you can expect:
- A Better User Experience: The new checkout is dynamic, secure, and PCI v4-compliant—ensuring a smooth and trustworthy donation process.
- More Payment Options: In addition to Apple Pay, PayPal, and Venmo on forms, donors and registrants will now be able to give using GooglePay. This flexibility gives donors the choice to easily use their digital wallets for a more familiar payment experience.
- Pay for Recurring Gifts Using Digital Wallets: This is an option for donors on Standard Donation Forms; previously, only credit cards or direct debit (United States only) could be used for recurring gifts.
- Refreshed User Interface: The new checkout experience has a similar flow for your donors and registrants, with fresh new styling. For donation forms, payment selection will now always occur within the payment modal, so all payment methods—from credit card to wallets to Paypal—display on the same screen.
- No Downtime: Scheduled payment downtime will now be minimized. This transition will not interrupt your ability to accept donations.
What You Need to Do
- Before July 8, to continue offering Apple Pay for both Standard Donation Forms and Event Registration Forms embedded in your website, you’ll need to re-verify your payment domain in the Blackbaud Merchant Services Web Portal. This will require a file verification process with your web server. Note: If you already have set up Apple Pay for Blackbaud’s Optimized Donation Forms, no further action is needed.
- For instructions on how to do so, visit this help file.
- All your existing Standard Donation Forms and Event Registration Forms will be moved to the new Checkout experience upon release, and new forms will use the new experience. No further action is needed.
A Quick Tip
If you haven’t seen these changes yet, don’t worry; they’ll be rolling out more broadly throughout July.
We’re here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions or need help preparing, feel free to reach out to Customer Support.
