Consistently getting errors when trying to consider apps
I keep getting errors such as "XYZ value cannot exceed 255 characters". Typically it is character counts relating to fields that did not have character limits. Short text answers for things such as "expected attendance" or "years event held" have translated into having a 10 character count max, although that's not how the fields were built by our team. I have sent back apps for revision and added in custom validation as well as character counts. I just received another where character count cannot exceed 10 characters… but they had 10 characters. It's getting frustrating to keep sending back applications for revision, especially when you have to ask them to limit it to… 10 characters and that's what they entered anyways. Is there a way to void the errors and consider the apps? I don't want to redo each and every field to a new field that has a numerical value entry, because that will mess up our internal forms view because we will have to keep adding field upon field, while keeping the old ones visible for historical data.
Re: How to use the new Send HTTP Request action
I do not use EM, so I can't answer what can be done to pull info.
You can definitely run RE Query if those emails you want is in RE NXT.
As for being able to automate adding/removing members in a distribution list using Power Automate, I think it can be done, but haven't done this myself.
Re: How to use the new Send HTTP Request action
The screenshot you sent is the Blackbaud Send HTTP request action, but the relative path you are using is SharePoint path, so you mixed it up.
You cannot use Blackbaud's Send HTTP request action to "act" on sharepoint folder/file.
If you are trying to use the Academics student enrollment list API, the relative path is /school/v1/academics/enrollments/{user_id}.
The FULL URL of the api MUST begin with https://api.sky.blackbaud.com
I don't know what you plan to do, but it is UNLIKELY that you will need to use Send HTTP (SharePoint version of Send http) to do something in SharePoint. Let's start with what are you trying to achieve.
Re: County Tracking
Hi Denise,
I had this issue as well, as we have locations throughout Ohio in different counties. I created a Custom Field for County.

Re: View Gifts on Fund Record
Not now. But please vote for my idea that asks exactly for that functionality to be added to web view :)

Re: View Gifts on Fund Record
Voted for this additional functionality. Right now, looking at funds in webview is pretty useless for me.
Re: Selling Merchandise through RE NXT
@Chris Hounsell It's doable, but you'll really need to stay on top of it to make sure these transactions don't get counted in your reporting. Whether you use an event form or a donation form, it still is counted as a gift in the system. Creating a fund is helpful, but you'll also have to add a benefit for each purchase so that the receipt amount is $0. Make sure you document how to exclude these transactions from future reports so they don't get pulled in erroneously by anyone else.
Re: Selling Merchandise through RE NXT
I think it can be done but as @Dariel Dixon mentioned, how will you deal with payments coming into RE that are not truely charitable contributions? We have the same issue with event fees. They are not charitable contributions per our standards and we do not want them included in stats: last gift, LTG, etc…
Re: POST Request API to update field
Thank you @Bryce Howard! I'm sure I tried that at some point but it was obviously some small difference.
