Happy new year!


I just wanted to let you all know that I'll be leaving my position here at the Children's Museum of Denver next week, so I'll no longer be able to enjoy being a part of the Altru community. ? However, I've accepted a position as an ESL instructor at a local nonprofit that specializes in adult education for refugees and immigrants, which is something I've enjoyed working at on the side of my museum jobs for the past 12 years, so I'm pretty excited to be moving on to a new adventure and working directly with people in the Denver community. 


I truly appreciate having been part of such a helpful and friendly group here and want to thank all of you for sharing your knowledge and advice over the years. Thanks also to Crystal Bruce‍, Ray Bergman‍ and Elizabeth Perron‍ for keeping it organized and fun! I'll miss you all!


As I'm sure you can imagine, the Children's Museum of Denver would LOVE to have someone who knows Altru take my place. So please, if you or someone you know is interested in the role of Database Administrator, let me know, or check in here in the coming days (... or maybe week or so? With the holidays, we haven't gotten the listing up yet, but it will be there soon! I'll try to get it in the job listings in the Community as well.)

How bittersweet... I read this in my email and immediately said "what?? no!" Then I logged on and read the whole thing. I am so happy you found a position you are passionate about! I'm super sad to see you leave Community. In all fairness, you don't have to leave - you can stick around!! Just sayin...
