Adding FA on the Decision Tab

Idea  K12OB-I-690, adding awarded FA information on the Decision tab, was marked implemented in December. I'd love to know more about how this works.

We currently only show FA on the Smart Contract, not on the checklist.  It looks like there is an FA place holder on a decision comment. What, exactly, shows when you add the placeholder to the comment?  The FA decision? The FA type? The amount?  Is there any verbiage with it? Also, if a family did not apply for financial aid and there is no award/decision, what happens?    Would you recommend adding a separate checklist step for FA Decision or just adding additional Decision types e.g. Accepted - Financial Aid ?  This could help with Candidates, but not with our Current students. They will still need to look at the contract to see their award, correct?  Thanks to anyone with more information!
