Bulk Update Recognition Credits

Is it possible to bulk update recognition credits on a record, based on another record?


I have a load of donors who have donated via a trust/foundation and would like to update the recognition on the revenue so they are ... recognised


Can it be done via batch or import? I've tried but can't seem to get it to work.

Hi Liz!


It sounds like you are trying to update an already assigned recognition credit type to a different type, is that correct? If so, have a look at the "Set recognition credit type" Global Change (in Administration functional area) which will allow you to do this based on a selection.

Thanks for the reply.  It's actually historical revenue which doesn't have any recognition credit on it at the moment.


I have a donor who gave through their foundation, I want to put the recog credit on the revenue which is on the Foundation record towards the individual donor.  I've set up the relationships that it automatically creates the credit for new records, its the old records I want to change.  Do you think this can be done? I think the global change is only if there is already an existing recog credit on the revenue.

You can try the following

1. Update batch template for revenue update batch to make sure reload recognition credit set to true by default if not already so
2. Use the Revenue > generate revenue update batch to create your batch using a revenue selection
3. Run the process to create the batch

Hopefully that will automatically assign the recognition credits
