Am I missing something... I can enter pledges in database view but not Razors Edge NXT Web View?  Just wanting to make sure I am not missing it somewhere.  It is not an option under gift type.

Yeah, you can't enter pledges in NXT yet. You also can't connect a payment to a pledge in NXT either - you have to enter the payment like a regular cash gift and then connect it to the pledge in the database view.

How can you connect a regular cash gift to a pledge after it's already been entered? I have a couple people who made online donations that didn't get connected as pledge payments and need to fix them but don't know how.

This is absolutely maddening to me. Even with existing pledges, you can't enter a pledge payment through NXT. How is this not a feature already?

it's very easy to do in database view. Open the cash gift, click on Gift/Apply to and then you can select pledge. The pledges on that record will appear. If you need to apply it to a pledge from another record, you can opt to load a pledge from another record. Hope this helps!

From my experience, there are two ways to do this , since you cannot adjust or apply a gift to a pledge once it's posted. First is to unpost the gift and apply it to the pledge, then repost. In my organization I have to coordinate all of this with the Business Office and Financial Edge. The other way is to adjust the pledge to $.00 and note on the gift it is a pledge payment. Depends on how you do your reporting, and how far back the pledge is.
