Summary reporting by package category or attribute

Does anyone have any advice for summary reporting by package category or package attribute? I'd like to do something like the Appeal Performance Summary report including packages, but with the packages grouped by category or attribute rather than each individual package. As you know, a direct mail appeal may have hundreds of packages attached to it, and it's too much to look at each package. We want to look at larger groupings of packages instead. I currently export all gifts to the appeal and do pivot tables, but looking for a less labor intensive way to do this.

Hi Rebecca Gelinas‍ - I think Excel/Pivot Tables are the way to go. You may be able to create a report through Crystal Reports, but am unsure if it would work for this purpose.  To learn more about Crystal Reports you can refer to Josh Bekerman's Blog for general information and step-by-step instructions.

I would do a crystal report, this way you can export all the appeal fields and gives you the flexibility sort by package.
