Annual plea for ability to recommend courses across divisions

We are rolling out course registration in two days - I am prayerful the issue with students being able to select a course that requires a recommendation when the student does not have one is fixed (https://blackbaudk12.ideas.aha.io/ideas/K12OR-I-2136) - but each year I return with the following enhancement request:


Teachers should be able to recommend courses in the student's future division (https://blackbaudk12.ideas.aha.io/ideas/K12OR-I-381)


As a the scheduling manager, it is very inconvenient for me to have to collect all of course recommendations for current 8th and 5th grades and manually enter them. It is doable, and I have been doing it for the past four years; however, this system is supposed to enhancing our experience and freeing up time to work with students. The ability for 8th grade and 5th grade teachers to recommend course for their students seems a pretty basic expectation of a scheduling package.
