Online Giving URLs

Hi, looking for advice about where is the best place to save an online giving url so that the team can click on it in NXT rather than having to go into Raiser's Edge. We currently save them in the appeal for the constituent - would it be better to create an event from the online giving page and save the URL somewhere in there?

Are these like individual online giving pages where people can sponsor the constituent for a marathon or something?

You could put the URL on the Links tab on the Bio 1 page in DB view and then this will show up in the Online Presence section in web view.

Thanks Rachel. My concern there is if someone sets up multiple pages for the different fundraising they are doing - maybe a marathon in Jan then a triathlon in June. Isn't it better to have them assigned to a event / appeal / opportunity?

Maybe? The donations received will be put in the various campaigns/appeals etc to do with those events, so I guess it depends what you're going to use it for.

You could record in both places, and then just keep the Online Presence section for online giving pages that are currently being used (and maybe on a quarterly basis, tidy out any that are no longer being used) for ease of use for your team?
