Changing Entering Year

Does anyone know if there is a way to change a candidates 'entering year' with out deleting all the the checklist information? I have several candidates that begin the process for one year, decide to wait a year before enrolling. If I delete an entering year, the candidate's record pretty much has to be rebuilt.

If they have enough checklist items completed, I always re-apply them for the next and waive whatever items do not need to be re-submitted.
