Attendance - Total Number of Days Unexcused Absent

At the end of each academic year, we would like to run a report that shows the total number of absences (unexcused only) for each student. I did contact support and was told that even an advanced list can not do this. ? I can go to Analysis > Reports > Change the Category to Absence Analysis > Find the Day Absence Analysis > Click Run then Filter for dates [which would be from the 1st day of school to the last ] > Select the Excuse Category > Generate. This does give a list but not a total so basically we have to manually count each absence under a student's name (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ?) Does anyone know of a way to get just the total count of unexcused absences? Thank you!
