Predicting the Final Grade with Weighted Marking Periods

Do any schools that weight marking periods have solutions for students and teachers who want to quickly predict their final grade?

Example:

Term 1 is 40%, Term 2 is 40%, and Exam is 20% of the Final Grade.
You are in the middle of Term 2 and want to know what your final grade might be if the year ended now.
