Unrestricted fund Allocation for Exhibitions - how do you track?

We have unrestricted/funds that we use to allocate toward exhibitions-  Since these funds already live in Altru, how would you track these allocations in Altru so that our development staff can track for stewardship (letting them know that we have allocated funds) in the prospect tab?  We also need to track on the credit line for the exhibition so if we are allocating funds from an existing one, we also need to keep track of the credit line for recognition of our donor board.
