Error Message: Registrant is already registered

My organization is new to Altru and we plan to use it for online purchases of tickets to scheduled programs. During a "test" we found that an online user who already purchased tickets/registered for an event, could not purchase additional tickets for the same event. The Error Message " We cannot process your registration. For information, please contact us by phone or email. " appeared which according to the Option/Language tab means that "The Registrant is already registered."


Does this mean that a user who has registered for the site (has a login and a password) can only purchase tickets for a scheduled program once? This seems odd as sometimes patrons want to buy additional tickets more than once (for example a patron buys a ticket online, then decides to purchase an additional ticket a few days later to attend the same "scheduled program" i.e. a concert or program).
