Wordpress donation integration with Raisers Edge

We are looking to integrate Wordpress donations with Raisers Edge. Ideally we would use something like Gravity Forms to gather data and then plug in the Raisers Edge API to add donor data to RE.


This must be something that hundreds of charities would like to do, but I can't find any plugins, code examples or evidence that people are doing this. Has anyone used a similar approach please? The UX of Online Express is pretty poor in my opinion so we'd prefer a direct integration.

I know that there are a number of people using Wordpress with other form applications like Formstack and JotForm. There are existing applications that integrate these applications with Raiser's Edge. (Sorry for not being more precise but community guidelines prevent me from mentioning our product).


Alternatively it is possible to do the integration yourself if you are able to develop code. I wrote a blog post on how this could be done using Stripe.
