Blackbaud ID login looping problem is SOLVED!

Good news!

As of Tuesday March 10th, 2020 we deployed changes that solve the looping problem mentioned here with the login experience using Blackbaud ID with Education Management.  Users will be able to login regardless of device or browser settings that restrict 3rd party cookies or cross-site tracking.  


Going forward, a new user with 3rd party cookies blocked in their browser should still have a good experience without tweaking their browser settings.  Most importantly, admins at the school should no longer have to educate their users on browser settings just to get them logging in successfully with Blackbaud ID.

    We’ve confirmed that an update released on Tuesday March 10th, 2020 has solved the “looping” problem which was originally mentioned in the user community. The “loop” no longer occurs during the login experience when users use Blackbaud ID to access Education Management.  Users can login regardless of device or browser settings that restrict 3rd party cookies or cross-site tracking. 


    Now, new users with 3rd party cookies blocked in their browser should have a good experience without needing to adjust their browser settings.  School admins should no longer need to educate their users about browser settings for them to log in successfully with Blackbaud ID.  

    You don't have to do anything to get the fix though. It should just work.
