Is anyone using the Merge Organization function?

Hello... is there anybody out there... ? ...using the Merge Organization function?


I believe this feature could be extremely useful.  It seems like it will take several of the manual steps we currently employ and process them in one fell swoop.  I am very encouraged by the little bit of testing I have already done, but would like to connect with BB clients that are already using it.


 
USE CASE
We have organization records in CRM for large corporations which are donors but also have relationship links with hundreds of individual records.

In the event of a corporate merger/acquisition, our current practice is to inactivate the previous record(s) and create a new record to use going forward, so as not to lose past giving history of the formerly independent company(-ies).  ALL current relationships are then updated for linked records accordingly.


I believe the ‘merge organization’ function performs those steps systematically.  I have conducted several tests in our practice environment and am greatly encouraged by the results.  However, before rushing into it, I thought I’d try see the reviews.
