Gift Management through NXT

Hello NXT community,

Does anyone use NXT for their gift management? Specifically our team is looking for a way to better handle workflow for our gifts. We would like to be able to seamlessly do the following through NXT if possible:

1) Have one person upload the gift batches into NXT and submit for approval,

2) Have another person easily access that batch, review, and approve

3) From that batch, then be able to easily assign follow-up to those gifts through the creation of actions and assign those actions to various fundraisers.

Is that possible?

I've been following this hoping you'd get some responses. I tried doing some things in gift management but my challenges seemed to be that: it doesn't automatically generate a query like database view does, which is how I do my assignments in a group. Also, I wasn't able to print/create a report along the lines of the database view Commit report, and that report is key to our processes for a few reasons.  Not sure how much of this is because I'm Canadian and they tend to give Canadians half-versions of the things Americans see in the system, haha.
  • I am sticking with RE-batch entry for now.  I like the way we integrate our Lockbox and papersave which got us through these times seamlessly while working from home.  Gift code is not also included and we use that to consolidate/categorize our payment types when reconciling with Finance. I know that I can move that to custom field but why should I do that and why was the field removed without asking us after using RE for over 25 years.
