System statistics

We are doing a massive clean up in RE (long overdue).  We are deleting constituent records 20+ years old with no giving history (may have attended an event in the past.)  When I open system statistics in Admin, the number of constituent records hasn't changed even though hundreds have been deleted.  Anyone know why?

Thanks,

    Just a thought -

Self-hosted, everyone log out and log back in.  Maybe needed for the update?

    Hosted, check tomorrow. :)

At the risk of stating the obvious, were these definitely full constituent records that were deleted? Only asking as you mentioned event attendees, which can be non-constituent participant records that wouldn't have counted towards your constituent numbers.

Thanks.  Yes, all have been "full" constituents.  As you can imagine 20 years of input with multiple users...and no protocols!  We'll get there.

Tried chatting with support but was told it "wasn't his area" and he'd have to look into it further ?
  • Hmm.. That's strange.

We're Blackbaud hosted.  I just added a new record and checked System Statistics... and our Constituents went up by 1.

I deleted the constituent, went back to System Statistics, and our Constituents went down by 1.

So it seems to update in real time (at least for Blackbaud hosted, database view)...
