Collecting Constituent Data from Third Party Hosted Online Programs

I'm wondering if anyone has thoughts on best practices around collecting data from other organizations or servers that host your events online.

Our museum has a large films program that we've recently had to transition online. As such, we're losing out on ticket buyer registration and data collection via Altru webforms--people click through links on our website to buy the film stream directly from a distributor. We do get some information from the film distributors, but these are usually just general admission numbers or at the best some zip code data. We're brainstorming not only ways to put in this limited data, but also if there are other ways to collect it, such as redirecting people through Altru first. But I could see how that might not be a great user experience...Anyone else in a similar situation now, or have been in the past?

Thanks!
