RE NXT Custom Report and Split Gifts

Ugh.  To my knowledge, no change.  This is why I have a policy of no split gifts.  But it isn't always possible to implement a policy like that - or to retroactively change how it has been done in the past.  Let us know if you hear anything else!

A policy of no split gifts is not really a possibility with some organizations.  (A "no split gifts" policy might be appropriate for some organizations.  However, a policy that is more based upon a tool limitation versus the operations of an organization causes me concern.)


We are a public University and have 2,500+ Funds.  A good percentage of our regular donors give to several funds and a good portion of those are via pledges & pledge payments.  To record those all as individual gifts would really be a lot more Gift Processing work and then complicate other resulting functions such as acknowledgements and receipts.  It would be such a BIG WIN to address logically within RE & RE NXT!


There are so so many Ideas in the Idea bank if you search "Split Gifts" and most are only a handful of votes.  I could not even find our Idea that our organization submitted 2 years ago via search.  So I believe this does not get the attention it should because the votes are "split" (pun intended) across SO MANY Ideas. 


Split gifts does cause complex programming, but again it would be such a BIG WIN to resolve.  Blackbaud should look at all those "Split Gift" Ideas collectively using their awesome data skills and tools to consolidate and then let us VOTE on so those items/ideas to reveal the volume of votes to get "ACTION".


I added an IDEA to do just that.  (RENXT-I-3169)  Please share this with all and see if we can get enough votes on this IDEA to draw attention to the matter.
