Pay what you can - Events

Hello, 

I was wondering if there was a possibility to make it so pricing for an event can be made with a field where the patrons are able to choose what they would like to pay.

On site, we've set up a donation button with a value of $1 that allows us to suggest visitors round up admission fees as a donation to the Museum. this process could also allow for "pay what you wish."


Online, we've been able to add an "other amount" with no determined value to web forms for donations. I'm not sure if this same option could be added for a program/event but setting it up with a donation option, even if not called out as such, could make it work.

I quite like the donation idea although that may effect some of our reports. I have been unable to find something similar to that on programs or event registration so I was hoping someone might have a trick I could not find.

following. this has been a want for a few years now. It does not work well as a donation workaround. We need event ticketing with the pay as you can option. NFPs are trying to flexibly bring supporters back in, without a convoluted ticketing list. fingers crossed
