Online Express and emails

I need to import a list of emails to use for an email blast or be able to edit my list being pulled by the query but can't figure how to do either.

Hi Tina Roe‍ - All edits to email lists need to be done outside of OLX, either through merging queries within RE or exploring a query to Excel (you can import a unique constituent field back into the system to create a final query - see KB Article #38639 for more info).  Once you have your final email list in a query, open OLX and following the steps: 

1. Make sure you are within the Email marketing section of OLX. 
2. Click on the Manage lists button. 
3. Click on the Create new list button. 
4. Enter the List name - This will be the display name for your Email list within OLX. 
5. Click on the Add a query button - search/find your final email list query.
6. Click on Save & close, and then Close. 
7. Open the Email you are planning to send from the Draft messages. 
8. Click on the Get ready to send tab.
9. Under Who will receive this message?, choose the List name entered in Step 5. 
10. If you do not plan to send/schedule the message now, you can click Save & Close to keep your changes.

Thanks Austen Brown‍ for the step by step.  I'm on the side of generating the list but love having the info should I have to fill in. 


Still pretty new to OLX. Did the online training but don't mention it there.  What email is selected by OLX when there are more than one present on a record and none are marked as preferred?  We don't want to send more than one message to a person.  


Anyone know?

Hi JoAnn Strommen‍ - OLX will use the primary email address (set in RE) for email lists. If there is no primary email on the record, you can direct OLX to try to send the email to a specific email type; to update the first, second, and third options to go: Email Marketing > Account > Integration Options > Email Mapping.
