Attandance

Hello,

Just wondering if there is a way to attach doctor notes or any kind of notes to an attendance record.

Trying to eliminate  paper junk in student folders.

Thank you for any ideas/suggestions.

  • Hello Elizabeth,

Thank you so much for the tip. I will do so now.

  • Not sure this is technical as the Attendance doesn't have a way to upload a document to a student - I would be interested in how this is done also?  How do other schools upload doctor notes for individual students
  • Good Morning Kathy,

I place the notes in the student's file but there must be a better way to do it. If we can upload it digitally, then parents and teachers will be able to view it.
  • Thank you Larissa - we also make notes but agree it would be nice to get rid of the paper and allow access for other constituents!

If your school uses Medical, the School Nurse can add doctor's notes to the student's medical record.

  • Thanks Bryn, We do have Magnus but I wouldn't be able to access/ see those. Plus it's not necessarily doctor's excuses only., quite a few number of our students are in theater and are absent certain days. Just looking to make life easier and less crowded.

Thank you so much for your input and hope you'll have a great day.

  • Have you thought about User Files? It wouldn't live in attendance but you can grant access to appropriate roles and it lives right next to the attendance summary on the Progress tab. I use them for transfer records and test scores.
  • Hello Susan,

No I haven't but this might actually work for us. I will ask my platform manager if it's something he can give me access to.

    Thank you Susan!
