Connect RE does not catch Incoming Student>Candidate role change in Core - Workaround anyone?

Does anyone who is using Connect RE have a workaround to "catch" or "watch" for records that change from Incoming Student to Candidate in Core?


Connect RE does not catch these since it doesn't look for the Candidate role changes.  


The only thing I have come up with for now is comparing my "current student" list to the Core "current student" list, and finding the differences in the Excel workbook.  Not incredibly time consuming - but not seamless, like I was hoping through Connect RE.
